Ashkenazi Jews are pretty clearly White, not only superficially as most people seem to need to check “early life” to know, not only politically as Jews have always been considered White in America, but genetically plot fairly overlapping with Sicilians. Now, if you want to have a discussion about eggplants by all means… The idea that Jews aren’t White has been predominantly pushed by lefty Jews who want to take oppressed to the White oppressor position in the general woke lens, sometimes spewing racial hatred to White Europeans. Left wing Jews also have high rates of intermarriage, and when mixed with other European groups, lean on the Jewish identity in that political angle. Conservative Jews tend to not really think about their race in the broader context, as their Jewish identity usually stands alone as an all-encompassing group of religion, culture, and blood. They have very low rates of intermarriage so the racial element is not usually very highlighted. Right wing Jews tend to solidly consider themselves White as they have an actual interest in genetics, while also recognizing the same broader interests and culture. With high rates of intermarriage, consider their Jewish ancestry as part of their White identity. The idea that Nazis considered Jews to be non-White is also severely missing the lens with which Hitler viewed race, focusing on Aryan more than White, where Slavic people were not considered Aryan, Persians were, and Japanese “honorary Aryan”. Just a very different categorization than modern America racial dynamics.
